All funds and plans purchased for use in the South Dakota Mines Dining Program are for the personal use of the owner of the account or plan only and are non-transferable. Meals may not be bought or sold and meal plan holder must accompany guest when using guest meals. The South Dakota Mines Dining Program funds and plans cannot be used as a gift card or gift certificate. Except as otherwise expressly stated in these terms, all South Dakota Mines Dining Program funds and plans are non-refundable and will expire on the last day of the spring semester.
First Year students may choose between the Gold Rush, Hardrocker 160 or Hardrocker 125. Second year and above students may select the Gold Rush, Hardrocker 160, Hardrocker 125, Hardrocker 75 or Hardrocker Flex Plans. The Gold Rush Plan does not include guest meals. Meal Plan Meals are not transferable to the next semester and are non-refundable. Meal Plan Flex Dollars will transfer from the fall to spring semester as long as a plan is purchased for that semester. All Meal Plans include a bond and utility fee used to cover costs of building operations and improvements.
On campus resident plans will automatically repeat for the spring semester unless adjusted through the meal plan change request on Residence Life online forms.
All website purchases are considered to be final. Exceptions will be made for processing errors. All refunds for processing errors will be refunded to the credit card used for the purchase. South Dakota Mines Dining Program follows the university’s pro-rated terms for refunds for students who withdraw from school.
