What Meal Plans do you offer?

We offer a variety of meal plans to meet your on campus dining needs. Check out our Meal Plan page for a full list of offerings.

What type of Meal Plan is recommended?

We have a variety of meal plans to meet your needs! Depending on your class year, where you live, and how much you are on campus, our recommendations may vary. How can I purchase a Meal Plan?

You can purchase your meal plan by visiting us on campus at Cashier's Office in the Surbeck Center.

Are Meal Plans required?

All residents living in the residence halls must have a resident meal plan. The meal plans are purchased with Residence Life when you register for your room.For commuter students, plans can be purchased at the Cashier's Office.

Can I cancel Meal Plan?

The Cashier's Office handles all cancellations and refunds in accordance with the regulations set forth by the South Dakota Board of Regents and Federal Financial aid regulations.

What is Meal Plan Flex?

Meal Plan Flex is accepted as payment at all on campus dining locations. They are part of your meal plans that is loaded right on your Student ID card, so there is no need to carry around cash or another card! There is no minimum balance, over draft fees, or hassles!

What if I want to change my Meal Plan?

You have the opportunity to change your meal plan each semester by either notifying Residence Life before the semester begins or visit the Dining Services office on the lower level of the Surbeck Center after the semester has begun. You have the opportunity to change your plan one time during the approximately 2 week period before the drop/add date for classes.

How do I get into the dining locations once I have purchased my Meal Plan?

Within 24 hours, your Student ID card will be activated with your meal plan. Present your card to the cashier in the dining hall, and you are all set!

Can I carry meals over to the next semester?

Meals do not carry over to the next semester. It is key to select the best plan for your schedule and dining styles to get the max from your meal plan. Use our budget sheet to assist in managing your plan!

Can I treat a friend to a meal?

The meals associated with the Gold Rush are for your use only. For all other plans, there are 10 meals that can be used for a guest per semester. These meals are included in the total available meals. You can also use your Meal Plan Flex Dollars. You must be present with your ID card to all transactions.

What do I do when my Meal Plan Flex gets low?

You can add Meal Plan Flex to your card at any time by visiting the Cashier's Office located in Surbeck Center. Meal Plan Flex will transfer from fall to spring with the purchase of a spring meal plan. All Meal Plan Flex will need to be utilized in full by the end of spring semester.

How do I use the Menu?

We have tools designed to help your health. Use the Comparison Box to quickly relate the nutritional information of two or more items. The Nutritional Calculator can populate the nutritional value of your meal. Use our quick nutritional icons to identify food with special preparation or contents at a glance.

Selecting a location will help us customize your experience on the CampusDish site.
